Notice: Weekend SCCA Memberships - Starting in 2008, the SCCA requires that all event entrants must be members of SCCA. Entrants who are not regular SCCA members must purchase a $15 weekend membership at the time of event registration. Event registration fees, therefore, will now be $15 higher for non-SCCA members to cover the cost of the weekend membership. Up to two weekend memberships may be redeemed to SCCA for full credit (up to $30) towards a regular annual SCCA membership.

NOTE: Please print off, fill out, and bring with you the registration form. This will help us get through the process more quickly and smoothly. If you need help determining what class your vehicle runs in, see the 2005 SCCA Solo II Rules, or use This Worksheet. Thanks for your help, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

What Is An Autocross?

An Autocross, or Solo II event is a low-speed driving skill contest run on short courses that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling and agility. Competition licenses are not required, and the hazards to spectators, participants and property do not exceed those encountered in normal, legal highway driving. All you need is a helmet and a car. It's you against the clock on a course lined with a sea of pylons. Whether you're interested in pushing your own limits or you're just learning the skills of driving, these events offer safe competition at over 1000 events across the country. If you have an interest in automobiles, and interest in motorsports or just like to drive, you would enjoy participating in our Autocross events.

For more information on Autocross, see the Autocross FAQ.

How Do I Get Involved?

Getting involved is easy, simply show up! You need not have a fast or agile car, the vehicles participating are classified by car make, model, etc... and there's a class for everybody. A wide array of vehicles participate in these events, and everyone has an equal chance of winning. The dates of our events are listed as well as the locations, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact any of us.

Note: all competitors and spectators will be required to sign a release and waiver form.

What Is the SCCA?

The Sports Car Club of America is a 55,000 member, non-profit organization featuring the most active membership participation in motorsports today, with over 2,000 amateur and professional motorsports events each year. The SCCA is responsible for organizing and sanctioning events ranging from national races such as Pro Rally racing and the Trans-Am Challenge down to locally held events such as the Autocross.
