A message from Brenda Kraft:

NRSCCA will be holding a one day Club Time Trials event at Motorsport Park Hastings on July 26.  I know that some of the members from Badlands Region have participated in track days at the MPH before, and I would like to invite everyone down to the event.  The CTT day will actually begin Friday evening with Tech and Drivers’ meeting, along with the Volkswagenville paddock party. Saturday will feature 4x 20 minute sessions for the CTT drivers plus an instructor drive around in the morning before everything gets going.  There will also be a second party hosted by the race chairs at the Guard Rail ClubSaturday night.  This event is being held in as part of the Showboat Showdown presented by NAPA Runoffs Qualifier.

Registration cost is $175, and pre-registration is encouraged

The Bismarck Civic Center event has been moved from the 10th of May to the 11th.

Here is some information about the MPH Event on May 24th/25th located in Hastings, Nebraska.

Welcome to the SCCA Badlands Region!

SCCA is the acronym for Sports Car Club of America, an organization of men and women who have passion for automobiles, speed and the thrill of competition. Whether you are a professional or an amateur, the SCCA exists to organize, support and develop automotive events across the country.

Solo - The precision of laser surgery with the subtlety of a rock concert.

Solo is the SCCA brand name for autocross competition. Solo events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. It is like being in a movie chase scene, only you are holding onto the steering wheel instead of a box of popcorn!
